Cher, dubbed the “Goddess of Pop,” took to the stage at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 23, 2023, where she performed “DJ Play a Christmas Song.”
The song, which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in October 2023. In a recent interview, she said this about her festive songs, which Mariah Carey has also released:
“They’re not ‘Christmas Christmas’ songs, OK? They’re just great songs.”
Fans React to Seeing Cher Leaving the Hotel
After her performance at the yearly celebration, Cher was spotted leaving the hotel where she stayed for the event. Entertainment photographer Elder Ordonez shared a clip of the Hollywood star heading to her awaiting car on his Instagram page.
Cher could be seen wearing an all-black outfit with matching boots. As she strolled to the vehicle, a bodyguard assisted her before she got inside. “Cher is seen leaving her Hotel just hours after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City this afternoon,” Ordonez captioned his post.
Instagram users commented on the said social media upload, with some pointing out that the “Believe” hitmaker could barely walk amid her public sighting.
“Wow, she can’t move, maybe it’s the boots…,” said one person. Another asked, “How old is she now? She can’t even walk,” as someone else answered that the superstar is in her late seventies. One fan defended Cher, writing, “She’s 77 years old!!! Let’s see how great you will be walking at her age, if at all.”

Asked about her secret for having a youthful look despite her age, Cher explained that she does not have an answer to that before adding that they have good genes in her family.
