On Sunday afternoon, an air accident occurred during landing at Stuttgart Airport.
A small plane crashed a few hundred meters from the runway.
The Cessna C-172, a four-seater aircraft, had departed at 3:39 PM from Leutkirch in Allgäu, and the accident reportedly occurred at 4:21 PM near Stuttgart Airport.
According to the German outlet Bild, at the time of the accident, it was already dark, and the area around the airport was very foggy, which may have contributed to the tragedy.
Initially, the police believed there were three people on board the plane, but it is now clear that there were two. One of them sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other was seriously injured.
Both are currently in hospitals.
