The most important actors in the history of film passed away today

Over the course of six decades in Hollywood, DONALD Sutherland was known for both his comedic and dramatic roles. He died at the age of 88.

Sutherland died on Thursday. He was famous for his roles in The Dirty Dozen, MAS*H, and most recently as President Snow in The Hunger Games series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the famous actor died in Miami, Florida, after a long illness that wasn’t explained.

He had five children: Kiefer, an actor who won an Emmy, Roeg, a veteran executive at CAA Media Finance, actors Angus and Rossif, and a daughter named Rachel.

Kiefer, who is 57 years old, was sad about his father’s death and said that he was “one of the most important actors” ever.

Kiefer wrote on X, which used to be Twitter, “With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has died.”

“I think he’s one of the most important actors in movie history.” If the role is good, bad, or ugly, it never scares them.

His actions showed that he loved what he did, which is the best thing that could have happened. “A good life lived.”

ICON OF HOLLYWOOD
Born July 17, 1935, Sutherland became famous after starring in The Dirty Dozen in 1967.

He was born in Canada and had a long career as an actor. He was in many hit movies and TV shows.

With roles in over 140 movies, Sutherland was one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces.

As a winner of both an Emmy and a Golden Globe, Sutherland was known for being able to play a romantic lead, a villain, an antihero, or a mentor.

Because he could change into any character, he worked with actors like Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner, Mark Wahlberg, Jason Statham, Jennifer Lawrence, and Gene Wilder.

When Newsday asked Sutherland which of his movies he liked best, he said that working on Casanova with a “master” like Federico Fellini was like nothing else.

After working for Fellini, he said, “It was the best time of my life.”

“He’s the only actor like him. You obey Fellini more than anyone else in the world.

“He is the master, and you go to serve.”

Even though Sutherland was in movies that got good reviews, he was never nominated for an Academy Award.

In 2017, he got an Honorary Award from the Academy.

The actor Sutherland got married three times.

In 1959, he married Lois Hardwick, but they split up in 1996.

He married Shirley Douglas, another Canadian actress, that same year and they had twins, Kiefer and Rachel.

Before getting a divorce in 1970, they were married for only four years.

By 1972, Sutherland was married to actress Francine Racette for the third time.

The three kids that Sutherland and Racette had together were named Rossif, Angus, and Roeg.
