STAR GONE in HORROR ACCIDENT

George Gilbey, who played George in GOGGLEBOX, was an electrician when he died at a warehouse covered in scaffolding. He was only 40 years old.

He was best known for going on the Channel 4 show Gogglebox with his family.

Fans fell in love with him, his mom Linda, and his stepdad Pete McGarry as soon as they joined the second season in 2013.

The Essex family was kicked off the show in 2014. He then went on to work as an electrician after being on Celebrity Big Brother.

In 2019, he went to jail for three months for drunk driving. When he got out, he got a job in a warehouse.

Last night, George’s friends got together at a pub close to his home in Clacton, while police were at the EGL Homecare warehouse where he died.

From the outside, you could see scaffolding and temporary stairs.

His death cause has now been made public by the police.

Yesterday, Essex Police said, “We were told of an incident at Campfield Road in Shoebury at around 10 a.m. this morning (March 27), in which a man who was working at height had fallen and hurt himself.”

“The ambulance service, which included an air ambulance, was there.” The man died at the scene, which is sad.

“We will keep talking to our partners, such as the Health and Safety Executive.”

“A cordon remains in place at the scene.”

Last night, the TV star’s friends said he had been working hard to “turn his life around for his family” since he got three months in jail for drunk driving in 2019.

“This shouldn’t happen to anyone so young—40 is not an age,” they told The Sun. He started working out hard and going to the gym to support his family.

“This is going to hurt his family a lot, especially Linda.” She lost Pete first, and now her son too.

“She is really emotional.” George was like a little treasure to her.

“He loved his family very much and was a good person.” “He liked to party a lot, but he was fun to watch.”

We lost his stepdad Pete, who was 71 years old and had been diagnosed with bowel cancer three years before he died too soon.

George ran into his ex-girlfriend Gemma Conway at the Ascot races in 2015.

And in 2016, they had a daughter named Amelie. But in 2018, George got a community order for hitting Gemma at their home in Twickenham, South West London.

In 2016, George, Linda, and Pete went back to the Gogglebox couch. Yesterday, Channel 4 said in a statement that the star was always a part of the “family.”

“George was a member of the Gogglebox family for eight series, along with his mom Linda and stepdad Pete,” it said.

Linda, George’s family, and friends are in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad time.

“The family has asked for space.”
